Honeyfur padded out of the medicine cat's den, her amber eyes had a glint of worry in her eyes. I must get new herbs, she thought of the absence of many herbs from her den. Trotting into the forest, her figure disappeared into the shadows.

hawkstar watched as the medicine cat fled through the trees to gather herbs. seeing how filled it was in the clearing, he decided to trust the dawn patrol to gather themselves and rested back in his den.

Gathering as many herbs she could fill her jaws with, she carried them back to camp, their scents winding in her nostrils. As she returned to camp, she spotted the dawn patrol setting out, and without hesitation she headed back to her den to store the loads of herbs. Though she gathered many herbs on her trip, the stocks were very low and needed much re-supplying. If she only had an apprentice, she thought, or at least someone to help her. It was hard to go on with this, she couldnt treat sick cats AND collect so many herbs all at once so quickly. "StarClan help me" she murmured.

Leafstorm bounded over to Honeyfur, noticing the frustration in her amber eyes. "Honeyfur, you should get some rest. You've been so tense ever since Leaf-bare came," she looked as if she would protest, so he added, "how about I go and grab those herbs for you instead. Just tell me which ones you need. I remember some of the herbs you gave me when I was sick last leaf-bare."

"Thank you" she breathed. "We just need a bunch of catmint before this frost kills it all." She flicked her tail onto the frost sheet on the ground. She peered around her den. Her worried look was fading. "It's hard doing this all without an apprentice. Thank you, Leafstorm." she gazed at him.

hawkstar narrowed his eyes as the light shined brightly in his eyes. he had fallen asleep. he blinked a few times for the blur in his eyes to disappear. padding out of his den, he lashed his tail and saw the clearing beginning to fill. he let a smile cover his face as he saw th fresh kill pile big for once in leaf-bare.

"It's no problem at all Honeyfur! I'll go get those herbs right away. You go and rest a while" Leafstorm mewed as he shifted his gaze toward Hawkstar. "You look happy" he called.
