"No!" Foxpaw yowled furiously. She lunged at Shadowwing and stiffened as her fangs sank into Shadowwing's neck. "Let him go!" she cried through the fur in muffled, sad mew.

Leopardpaw stiffened as the scent of blood filled her nostrils. They flared wildly, and she forced her paws to follow the path. Battle! She thought excitedly. She found clumps of cobwebs as she raced through the trees and decided to bring them if anyone desperately needed help. Her eyes widened as she halted to find a chain of cats, all clinging on each other. She could barely recognize the cats; Lionstorm with his bloody fur, and Foxpaw with her ruffled fur. The black cat was the only one she couldn't figure out. Pausing to hang the cobwebs lightly on a branch, she joined in the battle to break the chain of cats.

Shadowwing simply unsheathed his claws and let himself go limp. His breathing went still. Three was just too many.

Foxpaw dropped Shadowwing. "I..." she stopped herself and her legs gave way out of tiredness. She breathed heavily and touched her tail on Lionstorm from her spot, only daring to inch a tail-length closer. "Lionstorm..." she croacked before losing consciousness.

RiverSong, the medicine cat was in her den, organizing the herbs. The scent of herbs around obviously covered the scent of blood.

Leopardpaw scrambled over to the three unconscious cats. "Wake up!" she urged, nudging the two with her nose like they were kits. She sniffed them and rushed to grab her cobwebs and back. She placed them on their wounds which soon soaked with red liquid. She patched the remaining on smaller wounds and snorted at Shadowwing as she placed a few on his. How in StarClan am I supposed to carry them all back? She asked herself. She soon decided to drag the one that was most badly wounded, Lionstorm, back towards camp. She would get Riversong to help her carry the others back later.
